About Samlex America
Founded by Earl Berg in 1991, Samlex America began with a simple idea: people should be able to power their appliances and tools wherever they go, regardless of access to the electrical grid. What started in Earl’s garage has grown into a leading global manufacturer of power conversion products, built on decades of engineering expertise, product innovation and trusted customer relationships.
Our journey began in the commercial and industrial markets with a small line of power inverters. As customer needs grew, so did our product offering, expanding to include converters, battery chargers and power supplies for the telecommunications industry. Today, Samlex solutions support a wide range of applications, from work trucks and emergency response vehicles to wireless communications, government, oil and gas, medical equipment, commercial marine and specialized OEM applications.
In 2009, we expanded into recreational power solutions with the launch of Samlex Solar, bringing reliable power to customers in the RV, marine and off-road markets. Over the years, our products and markets have evolved, but one thing has remained constant: our commitment to the people who depend on us.

In 2026, Samlex America became part of REDARC Group, an Australian manufacturer of advanced electronic and power solutions with a history dating back to 1979. This milestone marks an exciting new chapter in our story, bringing together complementary products, technical expertise and established customer relationships.
As part of REDARC, Samlex is building on its established strengths while exploring new opportunities for collaboration, innovation and growth. Samlex continues to operate under its established brand, with its current leadership team overseeing day-to-day operations. While this next chapter creates new possibilities, the principles that have guided us since 1991 remain at the heart of our business: dependable products, knowledgeable people, integrity in how we work and lasting relationships with the customers and partners who put their trust in us.
