1. What is the minimum battery capacity required to be connected to the battery terminals of the SEC-xxxx BRM AC-DC power supply unit?
All SEC BRM AC-DC power supply units supply a maximum battery charging current of 8 A. Hence the minimum AH capacity of the battery bank connected to the battery terminals should be 54 AH (liberal estimate) to 80 AH (conservative estimate).
2. Can the SEC-xxxx BRM AC-DC power supply be used to charge batteries in the absence of the DC load?
The SEC-xxxx BRM AC-DC power supply does not perform multi-stage charging at the battery terminals but provides a float-maintenance to the batteries with a maximum charging current of 8 Amps.
